Manacala Mancala, with its beautifully carved game boards and glittering shells or stones, is one of my all time favorite games. And for someone who is far from a math whiz, I am surprisingly good at it. I can't always find someone to play with, so I was especially pleased to find this eye-catching online version by Chet Gottfried. The stone gamepieces are individually animated. Rules for this ancient game vary in different parts of the world, and you can adjust some of those preferences here as well. In this version, your opponent is named George -- or you set can your preferences for two players. Be sure to choose your preferred settings on the opening pages, before proceeding to the gameboard.
